Health & Safety

We take our employees’ health and safety very seriously. This is why we have comprehensive procedures in place to protect our staff against the risk of injury. These include risk assessments and a safety policy, which are regularly reviewed, continuing H&S training and specialist training for the use of forklifts, COSHH and Fire DSEAR reviews, Health Surveillance, and H&S assessments of our subcontractors.

Environmental and Sustainability

We have worked hard to build environmental and sustainability standards into the culture of our business.

We truly believe that by focusing on the environment, considering sustainability issues, and reducing our carbon footprint, we will leave the world a significantly better place for our children.

There are several areas we have focused on to improve our environmental impact and that of our industry. These include:

  • Working closely with our partners to improve industry standards and environmental impact.
  • Improving the efficiency of our vehicles through effective route planning, regular maintenance, training staff on responsible and fuel-efficiency driving strategies, and ensuring our vehicles comply with the UK’s Ultra Low Emission Zones (ULEZ).
  • Using environmentally friendly packing materials for our moves.
  • Implementing office-wide policies on recycling, reducing paper usage and using eco-friendly products.
  • Tracking our carbon footprint through and introducing carbon offsetting.
  • Taking an active role in local environmental projects.
  • Helping our customers to reduce their own carbon footprint when using our services and our supply chain partners.

Environmental policy

Our company’s environmental policy is part of our moral belief that sustainability should be at the forefront of the moving and storage industry. As part of this industry, it is our responsibility to work towards better sustainability through reducing our carbon footprint.

These are the current steps we are taking:

  • We use packing materials made from 80% recycled products.
  • We reuse or recycle all packing materials.
  • Crates, pallets and lift vans are all reused.
  • We co-load combine loads with partners to help reduce emissions.
  • We regularly review our environmental and sustainability goals to ensure we are on target and make further improvements.
  • We work with partners that are actively working to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their environmental impact.
